Scope ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information we collect
When you use Scope, we may collect the following:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account
- Job preferences — roles, locations, and experience levels you configure
- Tracked companies — companies you add to your tracking list
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, for the purpose of improving the product
- Device information — device type and operating system for technical support purposes
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Scope service
- To send you job alerts based on your preferences
- To process subscription payments
- To send important service updates and notifications
- To improve and develop the product
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party services required to operate Scope, including:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Firebase — push notification delivery
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and handles data in accordance with applicable law.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage most of this from within the app under Settings. For additional requests, contact us at support@scopealerts.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Scope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Scope after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
