Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scope mobile application and related services operated by Scope ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Scope you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
Scope provides job alert notifications by monitoring publicly available company career pages. You may use Scope for personal, non-commercial job searching purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use Scope for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute job data from Scope
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits
- Use automated tools to interact with the service
2. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Notify us immediately at support@scopealerts.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Scope offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's subscription terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID.
We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.
4. Free Tier Limitations
Free accounts may track up to 5 companies. Pro accounts have unlimited company tracking. We reserve the right to modify these limits with reasonable notice.
5. Job Data Accuracy
Job listings in Scope are sourced from publicly available career pages. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any job listing. Always verify job details directly on the employer's website before applying.
6. Intellectual Property
Scope and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Scope is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that job alerts will be delivered in real time. Job posting frequency depends on employer activity.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed job opportunities.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Scope after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
